Continuing Education for In-Home Health Care Providers and Family Caregivers
Whether you are a family caregiver or a personal attendant who works with a home care agency, Eloquent Insights offers continuing education instruction for in-home health care providers. If you are interested in continuing education, below is a summary of the courses offered. THE POINT OF VIEW WORKSHOP:
This workshop offers a close look at all aspects of age- and disease-related vision loss. It provides an interactive, problem-solving approach to communication, coping, caregiving and independent living skills. Discussion and analysis of myths and stereotypes, media portrayals of people with disabilities, along with handouts and exercises will encourage a new point of view.
Course length: Ten (10) hours.
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS:
This course presents an informative overview of the types of adaptive aids available and where to obtain them. It offers a hands-on look at gadgets and gizmos for high tech, low tech and no tech skill levels. It's a great way to discover some useful solutions that make life a little easier . . . for everyone!

DISABILITY DYNAMICS:
This course proposes an examination of the social and psychological impact of disability. Not clinical or dry, this class is for those who provide compassionate care, and who want to understand some of the personal issues that face people with disabilities every day. We'll discuss abuse prevention, caregiver burnout and coping strategies for families as well as health care providers.

IN-HOME INSIGHTS
This course examines ways to enhance the home environment for comfort safety and accessibility. It offers tips for every room in the house that anyone can use. You'll learn how you can customize your home or workplace to accommodate any special needs.

Healthy Eating, Healthy Aging
This course will take a look at nutritional insights just for our aging population. We'll explore barriers to healthy eating, beneficial foods for both body and brain health, cooking techniques and how to decipher those confusing nutrition labels. We'll even exchange recipes. A fun class for care providers struggling with identifying healthy food options and smart cooking strategies.
